Teenagers

I am young,

But I am not clueless.

I have fun,

But I'm not careless.

I am tough,

Yet tears I shed.

I am rough,

But I am gentle.

I have friends that are enemies,

And enemies that are friends.

I can't wait for something to begin,

Then I wish it would end.

A broken heart that no one can mend.

Mixed emotions,

On which I have no time to spend.

I'm joyous when I'm mad,

And happy when I'm sad.

I am a follower and a leader.

I'm trendy,

Yet I don't follow the next fad.

I'm superior,

Yet I'm inferior.

What do you expect?

I'm a teenager!
