WARNING: THE FOLLOWING STORY MAY RESULT IN FAILURE TO CONTINUE EATING YOUR SCHOOL'S LUNCHES. BUT, IF YOU LIKE FUNNY, TRUE STORIES CONTINUE READING. THE FOLLOWING STORY IS SUPPOSED TO BE FUNNY. IF ANY OF THE LUNCH LADIES FROM MY SCHOOL ARE READING THIS, THEN I AM JUST EXPRESSING MY OPINION. IT IS A FREE COUNTRY…RIGHT?
At my old elementary school (I am now in middle school) the system of the school's lunches is very weird. So, they serve the same amount to kindergarteners as they do to 6th graders. And the lunches are really expensive, for a small amount of food. My friends and I have this running joke about the food being "mind control."
These following complaints are taken from our lunch discussions, over the gross food.
The pizza literally LEAKS grease. You can put a napkin on it, have it get sopping with oil, and put another one on, and get that one wet too! And according to my friend, the cheese is like rubber. She says it is IMPOSSIBLE (She's probably exaggerating…) to pull apart. In fact, she says it probably IS rubber. I personally don't like pizza, so I have never tasted the cheese for myself, but apparently, the cheese doesn't even taste like cheese. I think he was trying to make me laugh, but my other friend told me he saw a box labeled "Fake Cheese" in the kitchen. It was probably cheese substitute or something like that….
We have all agreed that the bread is generally good. Until, they changed it to whole-wheat. I know, whole wheat is healthier, but it is, like, TOO whole wheat…if that's possible. The untoasted, unbaked bread is somehow crunchy… huh.
Again, it was good until they made it whole-wheat. I like pasta….a lot, so I'd always buy this. I didn't see the problem. But, one of my other friends said that it is "it's crunchy like they [the lunch ladies] haven't cooked it enough, and sticks together in clumps." I seriously didn't see the problem….
Again, this is one of the lunches I like. But, my friends say that the bagel is rubber. I don't know how, because personally I like it, but they said it was full of "mind control." The only thing is that the bagel was sometimes served cold so I couldn't melt the butter on it like I usually do. :(
The Mozzarella Sticks
The mozzarella sticks are really good. But, they only gave us 3. 3! Yup. I'm quoting my friend again, "Is that enough to fill up a growing 6th grader?" Then, I guess somebody complained, so then they changed it to 4. But still! 4 isn't enough either!
This is the one lunch offering I have not heard any complaints about. Maybe a couple about the cheese, but I'm not sure. This was a good lunch too!
A/N: Are your school lunches terrible like ours (actually, for the record, the bacon and cheese bagel was really good!)? What is the worst food they serve? Please read and review!
