Tolerance, an empty word

To those who do not know its mean

An unfilled promise, meant for those

Whose lives are lived as marks of hate

The darkness in our hearts and minds

Make us shun those dark of skin

Women, men and children

As lesser beings, we see them

We make them see themselves as such

And in that seeing, bind them tight

With lies as strong as steel linked chains

The cannot see the friendly light

The light which comes from those of us

Whose words in actions come from truth

The truth that in every life

There is a soul worth speaking to

So come now all those who wish to fight

Fight your fellows prejudice

See past the color of their skin

And show them what it means to live
