Where have they gone
those summer days
of carefree loving suns
I'm afraid they are gone
and in their place
autumn steadily comes

We were so happy
so deep in love
the cold destroys it all
who'd have thought
a love so great
would die with coming fall

And now the winter
to freeze us all to death
it comes with all its pain
and any spark
any slither
is cold is dead is slain

But as spring rises
so does hope
that we may meet again
for the months may turn
they may change
but love it takes its claim
