but that was just a lie.
Mouths stray, lips change; all bound to trick.
Heads high, eyes low, they're fakers in their ways.
With sugar-coated words and deceiving eyes,
back to their sides you went and stayed
with empty voices in your head.
You knew you'd just be an outsider
but maybe it was better than being cast out
or looked down on by your so-called friends.
Maybe it was just you, trying to make a change.
But changes weren't also wrong
nor were they right in some ways.
