A Sonnet By: 44musicfreak44

His lips are heavenly upon my own,

Your fingerprints are all around my room,

Soft, light touches, permanently on loan,

A searching gaze, blue, silent eyes that loom.

I can see the demons hidden within,

A laboured sigh, trying to gain control,

A lost cause, with a love that's forbidden,

Fathers wishes denied, from heart and soul.

Two lovers, forged from each others families hate,

Our love is light, defeating all the dark,

And so we ran, ran towards heavens gate,

Leaving behind everything but our mark.

Our love has grown as the years passed by,

He watches me, love captured in his eye.

A/N: This is my first attempt at a sonnet, so criticism or comments would be welcome :)
