Decay is but a term for passing time.

Each minute brings man closer to his death.

Beware! The Clock of Life's foreboding chime

Inches man nearer his very last breath.

The aging process starts when he is young,

Each "living" moment is a sweet disguise

For a truth that would cause a man to mourn,

That is, that his life is composed of lies

Despite the way that it may seem to be,

Reality is not nearly as cruel

As if he'd open up his eyes and see

That his pain and sorrow are but God's tools.

Man's earth-bound time of struggle, toil, and strife

Is compensated with eternal Life.
