"We got a new manager," Vivian said angrily.
"Uh oh, what did he do to tick you off, Viv?" Ichigo asked.
Vivian snorted and tossed her head to the side, her lip curled in distaste. "The manager doesn't like my style. He said my hair is too colorful and my make-up is too showy. He said my clothes are too tight and that they don't match."
"He said this to you?" Denaye gasped.
"Yes, and I almost happily ripped his guts out and made him eat them."
"Yep, someone is pretty ticked."
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN I'M A DELENQUENT? JUST BECAUSE YOU NOTICED MY NOSE RING, DOESN'T MEAN I'M SOME TROUBLESOME KID!" The girls heard Val roar at someone.
"But it doesn't appeal to the people. Where's your dignity, boy?" A man demanded.
"So? We've got millions of kids and young adults listening to us, what do you want us to do? Traditional music? I don't think so, old man," Val growled and stomped away from the manager.
The manager sighed and looked at the girls, a smile on his face, "Ladies, how nice of you to join me."
"Ah, so you are the famous Vinni Gorman," Mika replied coldly from the couch as she quietly sat upon.
Vinni was tall. He stood around maybe six foot one and his shoulders were broad. His face was sharply defined and his jet black hair was slicked down to his nape, giving him a more rakish look. His skin was coppery and glowed with a bronze tint to it. His eyes sparkled like two sapphire orbs.
He raised his eyebrows and looked over to her. "You must be Mika, I heard so much about the famous girl genius-"
"Okay, cut the pretty words, Mr. Gorman. We know you're here to torture us, but we don't know why Manager Hansen left. So don't get pleasant with us," Vivian said harshly and left the room.
"That girl needs and attitude adjustment, and so does her brother," he muttered.
"Just so you know, Mr. Gorman," Denaye interrupted, looking up at him sweetly, "Viv and Val don't like to be judged based on their appearance. They are actually really good people, so take some time to get to know them,"
He smiled down at her, "Thanks for the info, Denaye, I'll be sure to follow it. But I do not see their reason to act disrespectful to an adult."
He held a hand out to her and she took hold, giving it a shake. "I know I won't get trouble out of you,"
Denaye tsked. "I dunno about that, Mr. Gorman. I can get pretty wild, too."
"Well, in that case, watch your back," he teased and dropped her hand.
She waved a hand good-naturedly and walked to where Val holed himself up.
"Denaye," Val whined from the other room.
"Don't you 'Denaye' me, Valentine Price! What would Vivian say if she heard you whining to me? Now look me in the eyes and tell me you'll be a good boy for me while the manager is here."
Val grumbled something unintelligible.
"Good, now go apologize to Vinni."
"I don't think so, Den, forget it!" Val snapped and marched back through the living room to the stairs. His eyes lingered on Vinni with hatred.
Vinni let out an aggravated breath and stared up at the ceiling. "Kids these days,"
Ichigo smirked and walked by Vinni, "Get used to it, old man."
Sorry it wasn't so long, but I will make up for it. Just a little faith and presto! Patience is always rewarded, I hear, so just throw some ideas out to me. Thank you
