"How's your arm?" Laughed the blonde girl from the floor.

The dark-haired boy was shaken from his thoughts. "What?"

The girl laughed again shifting on the floor to look at him better. "I said, how's the arm?"

He laughed and looked down to his left where a curly headed girl lay asleep against his arm and shoulder. "Pretty much numb with sleep." He chuckled. "How much did she drink?"

"Um, not as much as you would think. She's such a light weight." She giggled. "I think just you, me, and Hollows barely drank." Looking around the dorm suite she took in the many students passed out from their late night Thirsty Thursday party.

"Yeah, normally its Puddles here that is the most sober." The boy murmured.

"This is true…" The girl yawned. "Where's Hollows?"

"Bathroom, I think." He responded, checking his phone for the time. 3:30 a.m. dear, God.

The two sat in companionable silence as the snores and light breathing of their friends surrounded them. Footsteps echoed down the hall as their redheaded friend, Rusty Hollows, appeared in the living room; eyes sweeping the room until they landed on the curly headed girl sitting next to his roommate. A small smile appeared as he took in the girl's features.

"You okay, Nate?" Rusty asked.

Nate nodded, "Yeah, man."

The redhead walked to the couch, "Here, I'll take her." Bending he hauled the girl into his arms, "Come on, Puds."

"Russ?" The girl murmured sleepily.

"Yeah, man." He answered sweetly, flinging one of her arms over his shoulders.

"Where we going?" She asked, her head resting on his shoulder, her eyes closed.

"My room." He answered as he balanced himself.

"Your bed is smaaall." She whined sleepily as he started to walk down the hall, the snickers of their friends behind him.

He sighed, "Yeah, I know." Slowing his steps he half turned back. "Night, Summer. Night, Nate."

"Night, Hollows." They chorused back.

Turning back he shuffled to his room. At the door Puddles asked, "Russ, can we listen to that CD?"

Opening the door, "Anything for you." He murmured.

The door closed and soon soft music and soft voices emitted from the room.

"He uses her." Nate spoke low and smooth, confident.

"In some ways yes," Summer began, watching Nate rub his numb arm. "But I think he's finally realizing his own feelings for her."

"What is that 3 years too late?" Nate asked gruffly.

"Probably more. But Puds is a romantic…she'll wait forever." Summer explained. "She knows what she wants. When it comes to the heart she can't be easily dissuaded." She took a deep breath brushing some hair out of her face. "They are friends, best friends. I think that Puddles thinks they are Soul Mates."

There was silence between the two as each thought over Summer's comment.

"Have they slept together yet?" Nate asked quietly, curious.

"No…I don't think so." She trailed off. "I think that's the only thing she hasn't given him."

"Why's that?" He asked curiously. He knows she's given him the majority of her firsts; so why not that one too?

"It's her romantic side again."

"What? She waiting until marriage?" Nate asked, pulling his legs up onto the couch.

"No. No, it's not that." She paused, scrunching her face up in thought. "She always told me she wanted to be in love."

"Well, she is." Nate interrupted sarcastically.

"Well, yes, that's pretty obvious. But she wants to be in a committed relationship. She wants someone to love her back; someone who will tell her. She's waiting for that person."

Nate didn't respond right away. He sat in thought over the not too surprising revelation. Quiet stirrings of their friends and the soft music from the room behind him brought him out of his musings.

"I suppose that's a good moral to live by." He answered. "Hopefully she'll stick with it." He paused. "Do you think he'll finally do it? Admit his feelings?"

"I know he likes her, it's pretty obvious. But will he admit it? I'm not completely sure. I think he will. I hope he does." Summer confessed draping her blanket over herself and turning on her side.

"I hope so too." Nate sighed, picking up a blanket from the floor.

"I suppose we should get some sleep." Summer yawned, burying her face into her pillow.

"I agree." Nate yawned too.

Soon both were in unison with their sleeping friends.

"I Love You." Whispered a deep voice with a head of red hair.
