Chapter 6: Time (Epilogue)
All along I believed
I would find you
Time has brought your heart to me
I have loved you for a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more
Time went on. Jack was the sweetest boyfriend ever. My dad eventually let Jack call him Greg. I watched him play Romeo and it was quite hilarious. He took me to Prom at the end of the year and we were voted cutest couple.
When it came graduation time, I was scared that I wouldn't see Jack again. I had been Marshall University in Huntington West Virginia. One day I asked Jack where he was going.
"I got accepted into West Virginia University," he told me proudly, "on a football scholarship."
This was very good news. Marshall University is only about three and a half hours from there. I told this to him and he picked me up. I laughed.
"Why the excitement?" I asked him.
"It means I can keep seeing you, forever."
During summer, long weekends, and other breaks I saw Jack and Yvonne. Yvonne got into East Tennessee State University. We got closer than we ever thought possible.
I graduated with a bachelor's history degree. Jack graduated with a degree in engineering. Yvonne graduated with her master's degree in Middle School education. I couldn't think of a more perfect job for her.
Jack and I did get married after I graduated when we were 23. Jack and I moved into an apartment until Jack finished his master's degree. When he graduated we moved back to our hometown in Pennsylvania.
We had two children, a boy named Mason Gregory and a girl named Victoria Denise. Denise was my mother's name. My dad was the proudest grandparent ever.
Yvonne married Jack's cousin, Daniel. They had three children, Lawrence Jackson, Rebekah Paisley, and Cecelia Renee.
Sometimes, when it's late at night and I sit close to Jack he whispers to me that he's sorry we weren't together sooner. He says we could have had more years together. All I say is:
"It's alright. I always knew that you would love me someday. And we can still have years together. Don't worry about what happened then. I'm here, you're here and it's all we need. I promise I will love you for a thousand years."
A/N: So I decided to make this the conclusion. I know it's short but the last two chapters were pretty long... I think this is the first book I ever finished! New story coming soon!
