I'm no Superhero.
Well I guess it all started a couple of years ago when I first moved away from home and into a town two states down from my home town. I just finished my masters degree on teaching. I was to stay in the apartment my father had in the city near the town in witch I found my new job. The apartment felt rather lonely with just furnisher, kitchen appliances and a flat screen T.V. My father was a well accomplished business man, so let's just say I leaved a comfortable lifestyle.
I could say I was happy. That was until my sophomore year in College. My sister was hit by a car and did not live to tell the tale, I felt like my hole life cam crashing down. My sister and were very close, I mean we had our names tattooed in the back of our necks! Marisol, that was my sister name. I had the view of a sunset in the beach with the name in a fancy hand write in the back of my neck.
I was only 18 when my sister died, she was suppose to pick me up from the campus and we would go to the mall together. She didn't make it across the street from the cafe shop by her work place.
Let's just go and say I called my mother to pick me up since my sister forgot about me. What I got was the worst possible news I could ever get by the phone.
Now 4 years later I am facing a little tattoo parlor I searched for in the internet. This one said to be the best reviewed in the city so here it is that I would get one.
Entering the store with my yellow sundress and heals, I clashed intensely with the dark red walls and the black waiting chairs my the window. I walked to the front desk sliding my sunglasses up to mt hair pulling it back from my face.
"Hi!" I said to the girl on the other side of the desk. She looked up at me with a bored expression and blinked her eyes slowly.
"What can I do for you?" she asked in a not so kind voice I might say.
"I read that this was the best place to get a good tattoo around here. I would like to see some sketches of the artists." I responded not letting her bored face get me down from my chipper mood.
The girl stood up from the chair and grabbed three folders from a cabinet to her right, and slide them to me. I smiled and started flipping the plastic covered pages with deferent pictures and designs. I stopped In the first page of the folder of a guy that by the front of the folder I would guess was Evan Knight's folder.
I stared at the drawing of a baby and a old lady I flipped the page and saw beautiful drawing of very realistic animals, cartoons, skulls, flowers, ect.
"Yvette, go to lunch. It's already past your first 5 minutes of break." said a guy who I found quite handsome. His strong jaw, short brown hair, tan-ish skin that washis natural color just by looking at him you'd know, and tattoo going up his arms and hidden by the shirt to his neck.
Evette I would assume got up from the desk chair and went past him and to a hallway. the guys turned to me and smiled walking closer to the desk and leaning on the palms of his hands.
"I see you are looking at my sketches." he said glancing at the folder siting open infront of me. smiled at him.
"You did these?" I asked flipping by more of the pages. and then glancing up at him again.
"Yes I did! What are you planing on gettin'?" hes asked glancing and my white bag and my heart shaped locket laying on my chest.
"Well I was thinking of getting a small heart with writings being the edges, but i could so alter that idea and just have you sketch me something cool and see what I think of it later on." I said leaning my elbows on the counter of the desk. He looked up at the ceiling while tapping his finger on his chin in a thinking pose.
"Well that is a good idea but you would have to tell me something for me to be creative about.I wouldn't like for a pretty thing like you to have just messy sketch I made tattooed on her skin." he said looking at me with a flirty smile.
"Hum, how 'bout you tell what is the first thing that poped into your mind when you first saw me and you'll tattoo it on me?'' i fliter back. He raised an eyebrow with a smirk on his face.
"Honey bee the first thing that pop into my brain when i saw you would not be very appropriate for a young lady as yourself." I bit my lip and fluttered my lashes at him.
"And what would be that 'inappropriate' thought of yours?'' I asked. He chuckled and looked down.
"I'm just bright like a light bulb or stars." He smiled.
"Well I did always wanted a light bulb tattoo!" I said chirped.
"Can i get it done now or do I have to wait?'' I asked before he could respond. He said his eyebrows at me leaning back a bit, getting some of the pressure off of his palms.
"You want that? Like right now?" he asked with a little bit of surprise in his voice. I nodded while closing the folder and handing them back to him.
"But I wold like a sketch of it before, ofcourse." I said.
"Um, okay...Okay let me get to that. Erm you'll have to fill out this form and.. just wait here for a second." he said to me handing me a chart with papers clipped at the top with a blue ink pen. He left to the hallway Yvette(the desk girl) had walked of to before with a backwards glance over his shoulder.
I filled the papers with the information asked, and waited for a second while mister Evan Knight tattoo dude came back. When he did the went and sat down beside me the the black chairs by the window with a paper in his hands, that he handed to me when leaned back and legs spread apart infront of him. I took the paper in my hands to see it closer.
I loved the drawing.
"Can I get it done now?" I asked him turning my body slightly to him my legs crossed on top of eachother by the knees.
"I guess I could arrange for today, but you would have to come back at 4:30 or so." he said leaning his elbow on the armchair looking at me. I showed him a toothy grim.
"Alright! here you go and I'll be back at 4:30 or so. See ya later Evan!" I handed him the clipboard and stood up grabbing my bag and waving while walking out of the tattoo parlor with the bell ringing after me.
