-As Seasons Change-
Spring brings joy but then a downpour of rain,
It sparks hope but then washes it away.
The thoughts of the future drive me insane,
If only memories were here to stay.
Longer days begin as summer draws near,
But I'm afraid we're running out of time.
Is it selfish to wish he would stay here?
Because he would be the one I call mine.
He's leaving too soon without a glance back,
Three hundred miles is too big a gap.
Come fall his bags will be ready to pack,
Time moves too fast, he'll be gone in a snap.
Would winter's frost stop time and freeze our hearts?
Or will they keep beating while we're apart?
