She fed me her demons.

One,

Two,

Three.

I ate them up unknowingly.

She felt free,

But only for a while.

She hasn't learned that burdens never forget.

But for now,

The demons were mine,

And they grew,

As did I.

For now I have demons,

She won't take them back.

One day I'll have children,

Children to feed.

But I won't give them my demons,

Because I've learned that burdens never forget.
