Why do people in love
Promise forever when
They know that their
Forever will never come?

Forever is an overused phrase
In which the user implies
That they will be together till
The very end of their days.

(Marriage is becoming a lie.)

Why not promise in moments,
Something that is just remotely
In our weak-minded control, instead
Of silly, sappy phrases?

(I'll always promise in moments
Because moments are all that I have.)

Do not be a fool standing
In a hurricane to feel the rush.
Do not believe in the lies that
He feeds you with a pretty gold spoon.

You didn't get your forever?
Well, I told you so.

(But don't worry, I didn't get my moment either.)
