It yanks at my heartstrings

Constricts my heart

Blocks blood flow

Squeezes in an iron grip

Valves collapse

Tissue liquifies

Muscle twists

As it grips my heart

Tugging it out

Of its home in my ribs

Snapping the heartstrings

An empty chasm

I see it

Blood weak tissue sturdy muscle

Being crushed and oozing from between the fingers

Heartstrings dangling broken

The black cavity of my ribs

Drips and throbs

With broken heartstrings hanging down

But it still hurts
