Overlooked

It's like I'm not there

Like I've never been

Day after day

I wonder

Can you hear me?

Can you see me?

Or do you think that

I'm some figment of your imagination?

You see me long before the others

Yet your mind doesn't let me in

Even when I'm right in front of your face

You miss me

Long gone

You call out my name

Asking if anyone has seen me

Of course no one has

Even though I'm here

Standing in front of all of you

Is there some kind of shield in front of me?

Why can't you see?

Am I missing something?

Am I the one to blame?

Is it my fault?

Never noticed

Never seen

Never missed

Never lost

So of course,

Never found

You never see me

Even though I've always been
