5/7

In my childhood mornings,
I rolled over to block out the light, and with a groan,
I wondered,
"What am I going to do today?"

That was before the music poured into my ears,
and someone started dancing in my heart.

Now I smile at the sun in return
and laugh at least once before I leave the room,
but most importantly I ask,
"What are we going to do today?"
