Holding Her

I hold her in my lap,

My heart the pain entraps.

My tears drip on her face,

Her eyes no longer filled with grace.

The spark in her eyes' is gone,

Her body remains as beautiful as a swan.

I release a shaky breath.

In the air I can feel death.

Why did she have to die?

How am I going to soar high?
She was all my dreams,

They are all gone it seems.

Now that she is gone,

I will just move on like a pawn.
