You'd think that since I have really no friends here it'd be a lot easier to go into hiding.

You'd think that I'd be able to avoid human contact for at least a week, but apparently I can't.

"Where in the world have you been Lennon Harnage?" I heard the annoying sound of her heels tapping on my wooden floor.

"Go away Shanna." I frown into my pillow.

"I know I've been neglecting you for my stupid debutant duties,"

I'd roll my eyes if they were open.

Shanna continues, "But Shiloh has been trying to track you down, but somehow you've been avoiding him."

"I have no idea why he would be looking for me."

"Um because you guys have been hanging out constantly? It's weird to see you without each other actually."

So she doesn't know that he told me he loves me.

"Well I've been busy exploring around stupid Starry Peaks."

"Shiloh would love to explore with you! And I miss you too."

I sigh and roll over. I run my fingers through my knotted hair and fix my shirt.

"Why have you been avoiding him?"

I pat the empty spot next to me and she climbs in.

"Shiloh told me he loves me-"

"What?" She gasps, "That's-"

"That's not why I'm avoiding him. He told me that he doesn't expect me to say it back t least not yet, and well about a week ago I went on a date-"

"How'd it go?" She jumps in excitedly.

I rub my forehead and continue, "-I went on a date with Jared Samberg…and he asked me to go out with him again."

"Oh my god what!" She freaks out, "You did? Why-"

"He's Gregory's boss's son. It went really great though, and he's like perfect."

Shanna gets the most heartbroken look on her face and touches her chest, "So you're dating him and don't want Shiloh to find out?"

I bite my lip and think my words over.

Shanna gives me an expectant look.

"I'm in love with your brother."

Shanna squeals and gives me a bone crushing hug.

"Oh my god! That's perfect! I almost had a heart attack. So why are you avoiding him then?"

"I don't really know how to say it…or when to. After the date with Jared I realized that even though he was perfect, he just wasn't Shiloh. He didn't make me feel the things Shiloh does and the thought of kissing someone other than Shiloh was just absurd."

"Aw! You guys are absolutely adorable! Shiloh looks like a miserable puppy waiting for his owner to come home when you're not with him."

I frown and try my best to not feel bad for him.

"Whatever," I grumble.

"Just stop avoiding him Lennon. And when you know when to tell him then just tell him." She shrugs, "Now let's go shopping! We should find you a new dress for my ball." She gives me a smile.

I make a face, "When did I ever agree to go?"

"Never, but why not? It won't be that bad. You can bring Shiloh."

"Is that supposed to be the selling point?"

"Please Lennon? Lee and Troy-"

"They'll be there?" I perk up.

"Okay I'll go."

She makes a confused face, "If I didn't know any better I'd think you were in love with them."

I shrug and decided to get ready.

As I walk out in a strapless red lace dress that hugs my every curve I look up and notice Shiloh walking towards with a longboard in his arm. As he gets closer he drops it and puts his arms around my waist. I instinctively put my arms around his neck and Shiloh gives me the an impossibly passionate kiss. He lifts me off the ground , or maybe it feels like I'm just floating, and he spins me around.

"Please never avoid me like that again." He pleads in a whisper.

I lick my lips and play with his obnoxious tank top.

"I thought you were good at finding people."

"Gregory actually convinced me that I should humor you and let you hide away."

I scoff and hit his chest, "Humor me? Okay jackass. Says the guy who won't give up on what he loves-"

He shakes his head, "I wasn't giving up. I was just giving you the time you away that you desperately wanted."

I frown and try to break free from his grasp, but Shiloh doesn't let me go.

Shiloh gives me another kiss, "And since you wasted so much time I'm going to compensate for it."

I roll my eyes.

"You look great in that dress by the way."

Shanna aw's in the background.

"Who would spend thousands of dollars on a dress?" Parker asks.

I notice two other guys with Parker but don't care enough to find out their names.

"Plenty of people." Shanna says.

"Plenty of spoiled people." Parker retorts.

"Oh hush," Shanna waves him away, "Anyway Shiloh I'm making Lennon go to the ball-"

"-and as long as my baby's there I'll be there." He kisses me and I roll my eyes.

"You're such a sap."

I return to the changing room to get my clothes back on.

"Anyway try to dress nicely Shiloh." Shanna requests.

"Seriously why do you always have look like a hoodrat." I shake my head and carry the dress out with me.

"So I look appropriate for all the hoodrat fights I get into."

I grimace at Shiloh and Shanna and I continue shopping.

I wholeheartedly blame Shanna for all my extra baggage. I'm not leaving for another week and a half, but at this rate I might be done by then.

I looked up and found Shiloh standing with a cup of coffee in each hand. I smiled at the sight because both cups are for me.

"Aw I've missed you," I speak but aim my words at the coffee. I take both cups and Shiloh sighs.

"Wow I feel the love." He plops down on my bed.

I put one down on my night stand and start working on the first cup. Shiloh grabs my waist and sits me in his lap.

He transfers the hair-tie out of my hair to his wrist and kisses my collarbone.

I must be going crazy because I had put on one of Shiloh's hideous tank tops after my shower.

"I haven't seen Shanna in a while."

Shiloh nuzzles his face into the nape of my neck.

"Because she's been busy with her boyfriend. They're actually kind of annoying together."

At Shanna's ball Lee had manned up and told her how he feels. It didn't really take much convincing on Lee's part to get Shanna to fall for him though. She's secretly been head over heels for him.

"I wouldn't know," I sigh, "I've just been stuck with you."

"And I know you loved every minute of it."

Maybe I did. I have yet to tell him how I feel. But I plan on postponing it for as long as I can.

"You stick around me an awful lot Shiloh. You should probably work on finding yourself a hobby."

"I put too much effort into being with you. I don't have energy for a hobby."

I roll my eyes and get up but Shiloh pulls me back down.

"Lennon," he gives my neck a little kiss, "You're leaving soon."

"Yes Shiloh I know," I say as if I'm talking to a little child, "That's why I was trying to pack."

"I can see that," he replies equally as patronizing, "but that's not why I brought it up."

I frown, "Okay what is it then?"

Shiloh takes the cup of coffee from my hand and puts it down next to the other one. He rubs my bare thigh and I suppress a shiver.

"I love you Lennon." He looks into my eyes and I frown.

"So the coffee was a way to sweeten me up."

"Maybe," he grins, "But I love you and I know you love coffee. Couldn't hurt me to bring some. But that's not the point."

"Then what is the point?"

"I'm not pressuring you or anything, but what's going to happen to us?"

I open my mouth but close it and bite my lip.

"I don't know." I finally manage.

"I don't want this to be some silly summer fling Lennon. I want this to be real."

I rest my forehead against his cheek.

Shiloh keeps speaking, "I really love you. I just feel better with you, and I just feel like a better person with you. You make me nervous and yet so comfortable at the same time. I don't want to be with anyone else."

I stay silent.

"Lennon, I feel like a jackass for thinking that you might feel the same. I know you went on a date with that guy, Shanna told me, but I didn't make a big deal about it because I figured it wasn't a big deal, and I'm not technically your boyfriend, but-"

"I love you." I blurt out.

"You love me." He grins like an idiot.

"I know. I said it."

"Since when? Did you figure out that you love me that is."

"On the date with Jared,"

He makes a distasteful face but I ignore it, "We got along really well. He dresses perfectly and looks like a man of my dreams."

His distasteful face increase.

I pat his chest, "Then he asked me out again. And all I could think about was you. He was everything I thought I wanted, but it turns out I was wrong. He didn't make me feel the way you do."

I shrug and Shiloh falls into my bed and pulls me with him.

"I'm really happy right now."

I nod understanding and give him a kiss.

A/n: I feel like this chapter kind of sucks…but read my latest story French Kisses because I really like it. I think it's better than this one actually. xx
