I used to cringe in the presence of Fear.

I used to back away and try to fight it with tears.

I used to cover it up with a smile on my face.

I used to feel bad for myself and want to leave the place.

But now I stand it the face of Fear,

And although it may hurt,

I just stand and I jeer.

Never again shall I even flinch at Fear's hand,

For, after years of fearing,

I can finally withstand.
