Hawkin stood there with his trademark goofy smile. Life was great. That's all there was to it. His hand rested on a door. Secrets he was about to impart to this amazing girl. He'd just kissed her…

It wasn't his first kiss, but it was definitely the best.

"So, Hawkin?" It appeared that Madolin was also coming back to her senses.

"I, well, why… Why did you take us… back here?"

Hawkin's eyes went wide as he realized what it must have seemed like. Nice, good-looking guy, takes her out for a date, cuts it short, and pulls into the school to sneak a few kisses behind an old building. Not the impression he was going for!

"You were asking about the Lamina's… you know, where everyone goes after school."

Her eyebrows drew together. "Yeah?"

"Well, this is it."

With a flamboyant flapping of arms he drew her attention to a door. An exit door. The entire school went to an exit door after school? She laughed, not sure if it was supposed to be a joke or not.

"Uhm… it's just…"

Hawkin cut her off. "It's not just anything. It's," He snickered, "It's a secret door. As silly as it sounds."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean you can't really exit from this side. It's an entrance, and it's brilliant cover-up. Anyone who doesn't know wouldn't be stupid enough to try and open it." With those words, he gave a grunt as he shoved against door.

"Hawkin, you're being ridiculous!" What was he trying to do?

No sooner had she thought it then the door flew open. Open. Every secret of the school now there before her eyes. Terror churned harshly in her stomache.

"This, my dear, is the Lamina hotspot."

Madolin screamed.

Sorry it's been so long again1 And sorry also that this chapter is so short. But it's kind of important! I'll try to have the next chapter up a lot sooner so I don't leave you guys hanging so long!
