"What are you doing?"

"That's starting to get annoying."

"Seriously, stop it."

"Stop saying that."

"I said quit!"

"I'm warning you!"

There was a crash as the older boy tackled the girl. He grabbed her arms and pinned her to the dusty ground. He said nothing as he glared at her emerald eyes. She just stared back, a surprised expression adorning her face. Seconds ticked by as he made sure she got the point. Releasing her, he stood and dusted off his pants. He started walking back down the trail, not looking back at her. She'd catch up soon enough.

The girl sat up with a bemused look and quickly got out the leaves that had managed to tangle into her hair. Then she stood and ran forward so that she was beside her partner again. She was still smiling slightly when she glanced at him from the corner of her eye.

"Hey, Jason?"
