A List of the Random Things I Want

I want to be put on autopilot.

I'm cranking out poems like I'm a machine.

I want to go to sleep.

Slip into a coma

For a couple of days, or weeks, or months, or years.

I want them to leave me alone.

I can't run from the world, but I sure can try.

I want to finish my homework.

I haven't even started it yet...

Does anyone really care?

I want to stop pretending.

When will this Stained Glass Masquerade end?

I want to run like Cinderella.

Leave my nonexistent glass slipper behind,

And have you be the one to find it.

I want to know the value of pi,

Down to the very last decimal.

I want you to notice me,

Love me, as more than just a friend.

I want my first kiss.

I want to be a child, I want to be sixteen.

I want to Stop This Train, go the words of wisdom from John Mayer.

I want August to arrive.

I want the heat to come,

And marching band to begin.

I want to sit on a bench at Fran Rish Stadium with you, wrapped in a blanket.

I want to get to know you better, find more things to love.

I want this list to end.

I want to stop wanting,

Everything but you.
