Varen's Poem

Once, my lover received a rose,
I knew not from where, or who.
The smile on her lips as she breathed
In the sweet scent, the blush on her cheeks
Sent my heart thundering.

Once, my lover received a rose,
I knew not from where, or who.
The rose petals were velvet to her touch
Her soft caress, the gentle feel of soft skin
Sent my blood racing.

Once, my lover received a rose,
I knew not from where, or who.
The light in her eyes as she gazed
Into the distance, the love in her face
Made my knees weak.

Once, my lover received a rose,
I knew not from where, or who.
The swing in her hips as she walked
Straight towards me, gliding across the ground
To kiss me, to stay in my arms

Till death,
does she part.
