A/N: This is the first time I'm writing a story in general, especially a romantic one. So please bear with me and let me know what you think. :) No promises, but I'll do my best to update very regularly..! :)

It went down like this since they were kids. They'd climb each other's window and spend hours together doing all kinds of trivial things like playing, laughing, reading, talking and sometimes not saying a word. It wasn't uncomfortable or anything, it's just that sometimes they didn't need words to communicate.

She was in kindergarten when they first met. She was wearing a pink dress with white ballet shoes and a matching ribbon tied around her blonde hair when a little boy pushed her in the dirt. She must have hit something because she was suddenly in pain, so she started crying. But the teacher didn't see her and the other kids were laughing at her.

What was funny anyway? In that moment, she decided that kids her age were mean and never to be liked or trusted.

She clenched her little fists and helped herself off the ground. She walked to her teacher and told her what happened making sure she pointed her finger to the annoying little boy that was now playing with his friends. The teacher patted her hair and moved over to scowl the little boy. She smiled at her little triumph.

"Girls." she heard a voice mumble. Turning around she spotted a brunet boy, a few years older than her, sitting by the window of her class reading a book. "You are so needy". She clenched her little fists again and narrowed her baby blues. She hated that boy. He climbed down the window letting his book on her teacher's desk and approached her.

"But don't worry, it's ok I guess. Plus, I always wanted a little sister; so maybe you can be mine." he said smiling and she couldn't help but smile back. Yes, she wanted a brother too. She could be his little sister and he'd be her big brother.

She already liked that idea.
