Poetry In Motion

by, Cassandra

You're poetry in motion,
and I'm left waiting on the script.
We're dancing in the silence,
because the volume knob is broke.

There's nothing wrong with keeping
score, as long as you understand
that the only prize at the end of this
road is standing here, all alone.

It's not all it's cracked up to be.

You're poetry in motion,
and I'm left waiting on the script,
because the only words I have
right now are trite and overused.

They're so not made for you.
