Jimmy, the Meat Carver

by Sarah Harrington

Jimmy carves his meat so well,

that people in town all gather.

Jimmy doesn't care; he carves.

He will never sell.

"Come on, Jimmy, sell!"

The crowd does yell.

But, Jimmy will not sell.

No, Jimmy will not sell.

He hauls his meat

out to the street

awaiting is his wagon,

now time to feed his dragon!

"Come on, Jimmy, sell!"

The crowd does yell.

But Jimmy will not sell.

No, Jimmy will not sell!

Jimmy takes the meat to his pet dragon,

and with a mighty roar,

Jimmy Jr. gobbles all the meat

and breaks his bones in four.

"Come on, Jimmy, sell!

the crowd does yell.

But Jimmy will not sell,

No, Jimmy will not sell!

Now all that's left of poor Jimmy,

are bones and tufts of hair.

Now I think that's a lesson learned;

don't go into a dragon's lair!
