Jane stared down at the body of Graystone and then up at John Walker, "What happened to your idea that life should be saved?"

He shrugged, "He made my night miserable…to be honest I'm not opposed to making exceptions every now and then. Especially to those that don't respect the same principal that I do."

Jane looked to her right to see Lisa run up, "John Walker? Are you John Walker?"

"Yes. Who are you?"

"Lisa Eisley…I used to work at the Facility."

"Oh," he turned to Jane, "More soldiers are coming, if we want to get away then I suggest we all move."

Jane nodded, "We'll try to hold them off as best we can."

"That won't be necessary," Able came out from behind one of the alleyways that led to the warehouse, "I can keep them from following you."

"Well who's this?"

"Able," Jane said, "He's our electrician."

"Oo," Walker said, "Now there's something useful."

As if on command, several boats that were running as well as several automobiles went silent and dark.

Except for Luke's.

Able nodded, "Get out of here. Tell Synzada that we would like to speak with him as soon as possible. We're not Facility, we're not Government, and we're not Guardians. We just want answers. With what he did to us, he owes us that much."

John nodded; Jane couldn't tell if he had respect for these people now or not, he kept his facial expressions vague. But she had a feeling that he'd keep his word.

He turned and walked back towards the boat.

And then he stopped, as if he froze in place. Jane looked behind her to see that everyone with the exception of the group looked like they'd been frozen.

David sighed, "Everyone do me a favor and keep it down tomorrow. I'm going to be suffering the aftereffects of this."

Lisa picked up a gun and a nightstick, "You're going to have to suffer the after effects of what happened tonight in the van because I think it best that we take a vacation away from the city for a while."

"We can go to that abandoned ranch I bought," Able said, "It needs some work done to make it livable again, but I think considering tonight and everything we've been through recently it'll be a nice change of pace."

"Alright," Lisa said, "Let's get home and get packed."

Jane started to leave with the others but noticed that Able was staying behind, "What're you doing?"

"I have to stay here and make sure all the machines stay down after David takes down the time stall."

"Oh," she stood next to him, "I'll stay with you."

"You sure?"

She nodded.

Are you alright?" he asked.

She nodded, "How did you know where to find us?"

"When you weren't at the warehouse, I figured your boyfriend's boat was where you'd go."

"That makes sense," she whispered and then fidgeted. Able was the other Jane's best friend, and she hadn't really allowed him that much of a chance to be hers as well, "He wanted me to leave with him."

"Attraction?"

She laughed, "He kept calling me his little sister, so I hope not."

"Oh," he said and a few seconds of silence passed, "Why didn't you go? I've noticed you've been….depressed since we programmed you."

"I almost did," She admitted, "But then I had a sort of epiphany I guess and I realize that I couldn't."

"Want to tell me about it?"

She smiled, "Got a few hours?"

He kissed her temple, "Well, I'm not going anywhere."

The End
