Mournful, suffocating conscience of resurrected memories
Inhumane dreams of countless ceremonies
The envious, smothering smoke, entwined with the blood of past
Tainting the innocent mind of youth, vivid trauma lasts
Repeated, unrecognised torture, a sorrowful way to die
When brutal murder is breathing, do laws of humanity apply?
The blinded seeker of war, fooled by a trusted lie
I wrote this when we were studying a Wilfred Owen poem in english (Dulce et Decorun est) and this is heavily influenced by him. Please review and always comment if you want and explanation. :)
