In the sunlight of
A midsummer's day
I am treated to a
Whole host of delights:
The shadows dance as
The sun moves overhead,
The trio of the
River, and birds and the wind
Stream like music through the hills
And the valleys.
The clouds, though they are there
Daren't spoil this scene:
Puffs of the purest white, like smoke,
Accounting for naught but the
Ideas aflame in my mind's eye.
The canopy high above reveals
A light show so spectacular
It puts all humanity to shame.
And to think this life is what
We've left behind -
It only remains in imagination
Or parallel realities.
