My chocolate brown eyes fluttered open as Nathan flicked me on the forehead. "Time to go sleepyhead."

I groaned and observed the people taking the luggage from the cabinets on top. Oh, we're in Canada already? It feels like nighttime but it's sunny outside. From the Canada I came from, the sun would set at around 5:00 PM. Time zone differences, eh.

Nate-Nate got both of our luggage bags and handed my purple one. "Thanks," I smiled.

"Anything for you, Alicia." He grinned and I just noticed one tiny dimple imprinted on his right cheek.

At the exit, the Air Canada flight attendants said, "Thank you for choosing Air Canada!"

I smiled politely at the attendants and commented, "Who knew that Nathan would have dimples..."

"I heard that!"

I burst out laughing in response. Nate-Nate can be so funny and amusing sometimes.

"Well, well, well," Josh smirked devilishly, "Looks like the two lovebirds have been reunited at last!"

I blushed scarlet at his comment and noticed that Nathan's cheeks slightly reddened. "There's nothing to be ashamed of! As long as you provide me with," my father paused, "grandchildren. Lots and lots of grandchildren I can spoil!"

We both heavily blushed and Nathan coughed. "Sir," he recovers, "don't you want us to marry first then... Produce babies?"

My cheeks reddened even more at his statement and I his behind my hands. I could hear Josh and Uncle Peter laughing out loud. Betcha five dollars that people are staring at us.

"We should get going now. Right, Alicia?"

At the mention of my name, I removed my hands and nodded with a faint smile.

Of course, we drove in a fancy limo. Did I forget to mention it was neon pink on the outside and a sign that read 'Just Came from Japan'? Let me rephrase. We all entered the neon pink limo with a baby pink sign taped on the back trunk.

"Aren't you happy to see your mother again? I am." My father eyed me worriedly.

I laughed nervously, "I'm fine. Just jet lag I guess."

The truth is... I'm not sure how my father will react when he finds out my mom remarried to another man. Might as well keep it as a pleasant surprise. Hehehe.

"You know," Nate's warm breath tickled my ear, "you're still a terrible liar."

I blushed. "Shut up!"

After about two and a half hours, we finally reached my house. I wonder what mom was thinking all this time. What was Bri thinking?! Man, I can just imagine her surprised face about how correct she was about my 'boyfriend' being the guy who I accidentally fell on at that destined bus. I literally fell for him, eh? Once I rang the doorbell, the mahogany door swung open in a tenth of a millisecond.

My mom was standing there with tears in her eyes.

"Oh, my baby!" She enveloped me into a tight, loving hug and I couldn't help but shed a few tears as well.

"Missy, where have you been for the past week? The school called to check if you recovered from your illness but I said, 'What illness?' And it appears that you texted to your friend, Brianna, that you were in Japan and asked her to tell the teacher that you were sick. Alicia Kim, what were you thinking?!"

Someone cleared their throat and corrected seriously, "Alicia Lee."

Slowly, she parted from the hug and looked at my father in disbelief. "J-James?"

He laughed. "Love you too, honey."

My mom snapped out of it quickly and ran into my father's arms. "James! I," even more tears fell to the ground, "thought you were dead all this time! Where were you?"

"Around the world, but mostly in Japan. I was living as the famous Japanese actor, Akito Ashitaka, all this time. I'm truly sorry for all the distraught I've made. Please forgive me." James said with an actual serious tone.

Strange... My father is not his normal cheeky, giggling self. Guess that's mom's effect on him! Aha, a weakness discovered! "Of course, I forgive you!" My mom said obviously while smiling.

Aw, my parents have reunited at last!

"Alicia," my mom eyed Nathan and Josh from the corner of her eyes, "who are these friends of yours?"

I chuckled. Of course, my mom would immediately create assumptions.

"Oh, the blondie is Josh my school friend and Nathan is..." I trailed off not knowing what exactly he was.

Was he a friend? Friends don't kiss. A close friend? Boyfriend? Friend with benefits? An arm wrapped around my waist.

"I'm her boyfriend, Mrs. Lee. It's an absolute honor of meeting you."

Good thing, my mom has a secret soft spot for well-spoken boys and men. She instantly turned that dangerous frown upside down. "Well, it's a pleasure to finally meet you," she gave me the you-will-talk-to-me-about-this-later look and continued, "so how did you guys meet?"

I sighed. Well, this was gonna take a long time of story telling. "I got on the public bus and your daughter also did at the next stop."

"All the seats were taken except the one beside him, so I was forced to sit beside him."

"You could have just stood up."

"Shut up. Anyways, the driver decided to make a sudden turn to race the red light and-"

"She fell on me because of the laws of gravity."

"I was literally sitting on his right leg and my head was resting on his right shoulder and our shoulders were touching."

"Eventually, we met again at the mall and I drove her to my apartment."

I glared at him and lightly punched his arm. "No, you dummy, you kidnapped me and forced me to your expensive looking car and brought me to Uncle Peter's glamorous apartment."

My mom smiled at our bantering and stated, "Just skip to the part where you guys realized your feelings for each other already."

"Well, it was the night of the masquerade ball." Nathan started.

"And some random guy pushed me and I landed on top of Nathan."

"She happened to land right on-"

"His lips."

"My lips." We both said simultaneously and chuckled at ourselves.

Nathan continued, "It was only on the airplane when I confessed to her."

I took a deep breath. "And that was how Nathaniel Raven Daniels got squished into my life. The end."
