My father is a Cyclops

He has one eye

And he can't see much with it

His depth perception

Is bad

But he's delusional

He thinks he can see

I gave the man my trust

I gave him my world

For him to see

And the only thing he

Thought would be wise

To do

Would be to send it to the cold, brown earth

Many times

So many times

So much

That blood ran down his house

It stained the floors

It stained his wife

It stained me

But he couldn't see it

And I knew I couldn't

Give him anything

He swallowed it whole

Everything I ever believed in him

My father is nothing but a savage man

He doesn't even see

My disappearance

And he continues to feast

On his ignorance
