My surroundings were dark. I ran as fast as i could. Turning, I ran down an alley. It was after me, my blood.
I heard a swoosh of air and I knew I was a goner. A dark object swooped in front of me. I kidded to a halt so as to not crash into it. The winged monster's blood red eyes stared at me. Hunger shone brightly in the red orbs.
It smiled showing sharp fangs ready to kill. It lunged at me, fangs ready to sink into tender flesh. I closed my eyes waiting for the eternal death that waited for me.
I heard a gag and opened my eyes to see the vampire choking on my hair. It pulled my thick, curly, brown hair out of its mouth and attacked once again. It bit down just have another mouth full of hair.
It spitted my hair out and started shuffling around me, attacking at random just to continuously get mouthfuls of hair. Finally after many fruitless attacks it stepped back and stared at me.
I started to feel uncomfortable and extremely confused. "Uh... Not that I want to die or anything, but shouldn't I be screaming in pain and terror?"
The vampire looked down and if it were still alive I knew it would be blushing. "This is really awkward. Do you think you could move your hair out of the way? I-I can't drink your blood because it is blocking the way to your neck." It started shuffling its feet waiting for my reply.
"Wait, are you insulting my hair?!"
The vampire's red orbs grew huge.
"What? No!" I felt tears slide down my cheeks.
"Oh please don't cry! I hate seeing my food cry. It makes me almost feel sorry for them."
I started to sob.
"I didn't mean it that way. I just meant that it was in the way."
I cried harder.
"It is very pretty though!"
I stopped crying.
"Really?" I asked.
"Of course! It's so... Fluffy! I really like your hair. But I need you to move it so I can bite you."
"Can you cut it?" I shook my head no. "I like my hair long."
"What about putting it in a ponytail?"
I shook my head again. "It would poof up in the back."
"What do you propose we do then?!"
"I could hold it with my arms!" I grabbed my hair with both hands and held it over my head.
The vampire shook its head.
"Now your arms are blocking the way."
"I could cut them off."
"But then your hair would be in the way again! UGH! Why must my food have poofy hair?!"
I felt tears begin to prick my eyes again.
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean it like that. ARG!" The vampire slapped her face in frustration. "You know what? Here." It handed me a piece of paper with numbers on it.
"Call me if you change your mind about cutting your hair or if you figure something out. We can finish this later. I'm really hungry and it's probably way past your bed time. So I'm just going to go. But call me if you figure something out OK?"
I nodded my head. "I'll see you around."
"OK and don't hesitate to call me! I'll always have room for blood!"
I smiled. "OK I will. I promise!"
"Thanks! So, uh, I guess I'll see you later. Bye." The vampires took off.
I smiled, reached up and started to scratch my hair. It started purring and my smile grew bigger. "Awwww who's a good hair? Who's a good hair?" Hair gave a small meow and with one last pat, I skipped away.
