For the longest time, I've listened to you

But now because I'm finally free

It's time that things change

And now you listen to me

Listen to me!

I am beautiful.

I am original.

I am smart.

I am strong.

For the longest time, I've believed in you

And you have called me "fat."

You have called me "stupid."

You have called me "ugly."

You have told me to "shut up"

When I had something meaningful to say.

Listen to me!

For I've listened to your words

I've listened to your cackles

Your giggles

Your gossip behind my back

Your crap that's made me hate myself

And I have said nothing

For the longest time, you claimed to be my friend

But you took my words and twisted them

You copied my homework

You stole my identity

You took everything that was mine

And sold it as your own.

Listen to me!

For I am speaking

And you are not

It's time for me to be heard

For you to be silent

So all I ask is

Listen to me!

For so long, I have hid from you

But now I will speak

I will speak for all the victims

For the people who were scared to stand up

For the people who were scared to fight

For the people who were scared to tell

For the people who were bruised and beaten

But still afraid of you

Listen to me!

Just one last time

And hear what I have to say

This is a poem for the victims

For the bullied ones

Because when they were asked

They lied to those who could help

So instead they speak through us

The people who can stand up

To greedy, vicious monsters like yourself

So you would understand their pain

My pain

If you would just once

Instead of speaking

Instead of spouting lies

Just once, would you listen?

Listen to me.
