Mary Jane

Unexpected, when I first saw her face

That smile, that long black hair

Crossing the room, moving with such grace

Never seen a woman as beautiful, as fair

I approached her, and she said her name

With that soft voice that whispers in the air

Ah yes! Her voice, the voice of Mary Jane

Even the greatest melody cannot compare

Under the stars, the round blue moon

Time stood still, but yet moved fast

Joy that was taken too soon

Time with Mary Jane couldn't last

For days her voice I did not hear

Her face I did not see

But still it was very clear

The memory of Mary Jane and me

But alas, the days grew to an end

Her voice I couldn't hear but her face I did see

And Mary Jane to the ground we did send

Her body to be dust, her spirit to eternity
