notice that any stories i've got uploaded i will carry on, just incase you wondered!
Summer had finally started and that only meant one thing. "PARTY TIME!" I yelled out to no-one in particular, grabbing my cell phone from my bedroom drawer and dialling Chloe, my beautiful best friend.
"Cass, what's up girl?" Chloe asked, her southern accent coming out thick.
I smiled, realising just how much I've missed this girl. "Chlo baby, im fine, what about you?" I asked.
"Im so boreeed. You can tell summer's started right?" she whined, and I laughed.
"Yeah, that's mainly why I rang you, I really want a house party..." I said, I could already hear the excitement in my voice, even though I'd not ever asked permission from my big brother yet, as my parents were on a cruise...as usual.
Chloe snorted. "You're hardly allowed out to high-school parties; why on god's earth would you be allowed to have a house party?"
I scowled to myself, so true I though.
"Mock all you want Chlo. But seriously, im going to beg my brother for this; I mean, I already promised half the school. I highly doubt it he'll say no.
"No." My brother Cobe said, on his laptop not even bothering to look at me.
I sighed; I knew this was going to be difficult. "Co-be!" I whined, dragging out his name. "You didn't even let me explain!"
He chuckled darkly under his breath. "I don't know why you're bothering, but go ahead."
I smiled happily and took a deep breath, hoping he would atleast consider this."Ok-ay. So, I kind of promised the school that I was going to be having a party at my house and I want one...simple as that."
"No." He scoffed, humming a song under his breath.
I looked at him and gave him a stern look, even though it was useless; he couldn't see me, he was still on his laptop.
"But I promised them." I said, growing annoyed by the minute.
"I don't care. Un-promise them." He said sternly.
I thought about it for a moment. "No."
He finally looked up from his laptop and looked at me, raising an eyebrow.
"No?" he said, looking amused.
I shook my head, crossing my arms over my chest giving him a 'duh' look.
He stood up from his chair and gripped my shoulders gently and sighed. "Stop. Stop this stupid back and forth argument. It's pointless and stupid, you can't have a party and that's the end of it."
I stared into his eyes, not backing down. "It's not pointless and it's most definitely not stupid. How come it's supposedly stupid when I want to have a party, but when you want a party, you think its absolute genius." I glared at him and removed his arms from his tight grip on my arms. "I'm throwing one, whether you like it or not."
I hated my brother when he got angry and bossy I couldn't stand it.
He narrowed his eyes at me. "Don't even. Do you not remember what happened at your 13th birthday? Or have you already forgotten!" he yelled.
I laughed angrily. "13th birthday! That's right, it was my 13th birthday. Which means it was 4 years ago, time to get over it! If I have, then you sure should." I was practically fuming at this point.
Cobe sighed, rubbing his temples; his eyes softened a little but the glare was still there. "I'm going to bed, it's late. Im pretty sure you're tired too."
I looked at him weirdly...was he bi-polar.
"Cobe, I'll go to bed wh-"he cut me off.
"You're not having a PARTY!" I flinched; he shook his head and sighed. "Please Cass just go to bed."
A tear slipped out of my eye, he'd never shouted at me, and I guess all my emotions just caught up with me. I quickly wiped it away.
Cobe realised what he'd done, and took a step towards me. "Cass, i-"
I walked out of his room, making the way to my own.
Did I mention how much of a douche my brother is?
