Murder Of The Innocents
The smell of blood is sickening. I walk through the bedroom of the woman who's been brutally slaughtered. I feel like I'm trespassing. I study the body trying not to gag. Her belly has been slashed open, the bed sheets are soaked with blood and urine, she must of panicked when she saw the murderer. This isn't the worse part though. A foetus lies beside her in a pool of blood. I feel more sorry for the foetus than the mother. Yes I know she's been brutally murdered but at least she got a chance to live. Her child has been killed without even getting a chance to taste the air.
"It looks like whoever's done this is a professional" Inspector George Carmichael, my boss says, breaking the silence. "What do you mean?" I ask. "The cuts clean" Carmichael replies "Whoever killed her knew what they were doing" I raise an eyebrow. "You mean like a surgeon?" Carmichael nods. " You think they'll do this again?" I ask. "Maybe" Carmichael answers we'll just have to wait and see.
