A green sapling
Growing stronger

Growing thicker

No longer caring

For the roaring wind

Which can no longer tear

The little tree down

Reaching higher

Spreading shade

Filled with greenery

Which gives way

To bare branches

Only to re-bloom

When the time is ripe

Growing taller

Yet growing older

Brittle branches fall

Until a man comes

To cut down the tree

That was once so small

To place it in the earth
