Severed and Sewed

We were twins, conjoined,

soul sisters, one may say.

But my truth revealed,

which severed us apart.

You could not accept that truth

or the lie, I know not which.

Time will not stop for us,

as the years pass by.

Now that our bodies are formed,

one thing draws us in, him.

He fills that cove in my heart.

Your eyes hold love for him, too.

We are roughly sewed back together,

rugged and disproportionate, yet sewed.

Yes, the soul sisters were at last

rekindled, but not as they should be.
