A flash cut through the whipping winds of the frozen night sky, followed by a roar from the clouds. The terror could be seen from miles away, the expanse of black being shattered by the solid strand of electricity. The howling wind battered against houses, sending trees flying and scratching around. Then came the worst. Ice hammered down to earth, denting roofs to the point where they were unrecognisable, setting of car alarms, but only the racket of electronic devices were to the heard, the shrieks echoing alongside the thunder. There was not a living thing in sight. The entire earth stopped. There was silence. Then. Volcanoes sets off, earthquakes rumbles like never before, tsunamis hit the shore. But, there were no screams of terror or reactions from any living creatures. They were simply not there.
