Ebonics poem

When you imagine the future, do you see flying cars,

Robots, Aliens and science?

There could also be spaceships

And other things just as brilliant.

Or do you look further than stars

To a world that's out there somewhere.

People being treated fairly,

And everyone speaking different.

Accents, language and dialect,

Why should they matter at all?

We need to look past the curtain

And just enjoy the show.

Stand out, let them hear,

That the future belongs to unique.

Scottish, Ebonics, whatever you like,

They're here to stay, not to go.
