Natalie Vein
walking all alone
to the beat of the rain
a sad sad tear on its own
mixed among the face of shame.

down the street she walked
with ho home to go in
not even the grass ruffled a stalk
a body ruled by sin

with a cry for help
from a severed vein
a painful yelp
then she lay there in the rain

nobody came, nobody heard
no one say what happened that day
with no one to listen to her words
she gave up and gave her life away.
