Here we stand at the Crossroads of Life.

Years stretch before us;

Days stretch behind.

And the things we don't know

Are the seeds that we sow.

Choices are what happen

When Fates go blind.

Here we stand at the Crossroads of Life.

Ocean before us;

Island behind.

Must we be cast out on a vagrant sea?

What kind of future could that possibly be?

Mercy is a weakness

Justice denies.

Here we stand at the Crossroads of Life.

The end is before us;

Our lives are behind.

The choices we made...

Would we make them again?

How can we ever

Be children again?

Here we are at the Crossroads of Life...

Nothing before us;

Nothing behind.

Author's Note: I wrote 'Crossroads of Life' while pondering my graduation [Go Class of '04!] after finding out that my most favorite teacher was leaving in order to continue his education. He's an amazing man who has been an inspiration, both creatively and in life, to me. This one's for you, Mr. Carr.
