She peeked on her alarm clock on the nightstand after twisting and turning into different sleeping positions. 2am already. That made her trying futilely to sleep for two hours already.

She speed-dialled number two and buried herself back under the cover. The other end was picked up after two rings.

"Hi it's me," she smiled.

"Hey," his voice was hoarse.

"Not asleep yet?"

"Need to finalize for tomorrow's session." He stood up and straightened his back. Paperworks be damned. "Why are you still up?"

"I can't sleep."

He chuckled and unseen to her, rubbed the bridge of his nose. He threw his glance at the untouched bed meticulously made by the room service while he was down at the conference hall all day. He wished it was strewn with his wife under the cover.

"Did you miss me?"

"Maybe," she bluffed with a huge grin. He laughed knowingly. "Sing for me?"

He took a sip of water from the corner of the table bearing the grunt of his work papers. He cleared his throat. "Alright."

And he sang. She closed her eyes and snuggled into his pillow, wishing it was his chiselled chest instead.

His baritone drawled out the song and it came to an end. The other end was silent.

"Hmm?" She hummed sleepily.

"Sleeping on me?"

"Voice too nice." Her tone was slipping away into unconsciousness.

He chuckled. "Sweet dream."

She hummed again.

"I love you."

Again, the lump hummed. He laughed.

"Am I not getting an 'I love you too' from you?"

"Come home," she smiled softly, her eyes still closed. "And I'll show you how much I really love you."

"Oh?" His member below twitched. He foresaw a cold shower after their conversation, regardless it was half past two already. "What will you do?"

She chuckled.
