I still remember the look on your face Been through the darkness at 1:58 The words that you whispered for just us to know You told me you loved me so why did you go away, go away?...

Miranda sighed as she awoke in her bed hearing her five month old son Caleb crying. Getting out of bed she walked the short walk to his room and she put on a smile when she saw him laying on the bed, "What's the matter CJ?" she asked using her nickname for him. CJ was short for Caleb Jace. "Do you miss daddy too?" she asked as she frowned and picked up her soon rubbing his back gently. It had been four months since Jamie, Caleb's dad and her boyfriend had left them. She had woken up one morning and he had been gone. All he had left her was a note.

...I do recall now the smell of the rain Fresh on the pavement, I ran off the plane That July 9th the beat of your heart It jumps through your shirt, I can still feel your arms...

Holding Caleb on her hip Miranda walked back to her bedroom and sat down on the bed. Kissing his forehead she remembered the night Caleb had been conceived. Jamie had come to one of her concerts and then afterwards she had agreed to hang out with him. Of course she would have agreed to go out with him. She had always secretly been a fan girl of his band Albertane. When they hung out they had both gotten drunk and things went farther than they had planned. She never regretted it though. After their backstage rendezovous they hadn't seen each other again until she was three months pregnant. She had been with Bryson but god did she ever have feelings for Jamie.

...But now I'll go sit on the floor wearing your clothes All that I know is I don't know How to be something you miss...

Coming out of her thoughts when she heard Caleb start crying again she frowned some, "I'm sorry baby," she said to her son. She was finding it hard to be a single mother. She was sure she was screwing things up. Heck she had even jumped into dating again too soon. She had tried with a guy named Greg and she had gotten burned. He had still held a torch for his ex-girlfriend and he too had wound up leaving her. "Mommy is sorry," she said again as she looked at her son and tried to smile. She was hoping she was becoming good at this whole acting thing.

...Never thought we'd have a last kiss Never imagined we'd end like this Your name, forever the name on my lips...

Feeling Caleb put his hand on her shoulder she smiled more and breathed a sigh of relief. Maybe he would go to sleep and she could try to sleep. Shaking her head she rolled her eyes to no one in particular. Who the heck was she kidding? She would never get back to sleep. Not after thinking about Jamie. She had never expected them to end. Not the way they did anyway.

...I do remember the swing of your step The life of the party, you're showing off again And I roll my eyes and then you pulled me in I'm not much for dancing but for you did.

Because I loved your handshake, meeting my father I love how you walk with your hands in your pockets How you'd kiss me when I was in the middle of saying something There's not a day I don't miss those rude interruptions...

Getting lost in her thoughts again Miranda remembered how she had grown close to Jamie after she and Bryson had ended. Bryson had cheated on her with a girl named Avery. She was half certain that girl was also Greg's ex. New York was a smaller city than it seemed. She hadn't meant to let her feelings for Jamie grow even more after ending things with Bryson but my god he could pull her in. Hell he could pull anyone in if he wanted to. He knew how to get his way. He had even impressed her parents when he finally met them in her eighth month of pregnancy. They had decided to come in from Arizona to be there for when she had their first grandchild. Her father in particular had loved him the most.

Closing her eyes Miranda smiled sadly as she remembered how Jamie used to walk with his hands. He always carried them in his pockets. He also used to kiss her when she was in the middle of talking. Usually it was during their arguements. She missed those moments now.

...So I'll watch your life in pictures like I used to watch you sleep And I'll feel you forget me like I use to feel you breathe And I'll keep up with our old friends just to ask them how you are Hope it's nice where you are...

Opening her eyes Miranda looked down and saw Caleb asleep. Standing up she went back to his room and laid him in his crib. Turning she left the room and went back to her own where she sat again. Reaching for her cellphone she turned it on and went to her pictures. Smiling at the ones she had been sent last night. Annie had sent them. Miranda guessed this was how she would get to see Jamie now, in pictures. She was kind of glad Parker and Annie had went back to Tulsa as well. At least they were near him and when she talked to them she could ask them how he was. If he was okay. All she hoped was that it was nice where he was and that he was happy.

...And I hope the sun shines and it's a beautiful day And something reminds you, you wish you had stayed We can plan for a change in weather and time I never planned on you changing your mind...

Exiting her pictures Miranda went to her contacts. She was half tempted to text Jamie. Just to tell him she hoped it was a beautiful day for him tomorrow. She was also tempted to text him that she hoped something reminded him of her and he wished he had stayed. She knew she could plan on the weather changing heck she could even plan on her schedule changing thanks to being a muscian but she had never planned on Jamie changing his mind. Never planned on him leaving her and their son.

...I never thought we'd ever last kiss Never imagined we'd end like this Your name, forever the name on my lips Just like our last kiss, forever the name on my lips Forever the name on my lips, just like our last.

Turning her phone off without texting him she laid it on the bedside table and laid down again. She knew she should try to sleep. Closing her eyes she muttered his name softly. It would always be on her lips just like their last kiss was.
