Chapter One

"I'm not completely sure I understand." Mr. Baker said to one of his students, Ali-Rose Mayer. He was her guidance counselor and she had a major dilemma.
"Well, I have this friend, who has this boyfriend who she loves, but she's in love with another guy, and she doesn't want to hurt her boyfriend by breaking up with him, but she wants to be with the other guy and she doesn't know what to do. And the other guy is in love with her too and wants to be with her, but her boyfriend is the other guys' best friend and neither of them wants to her him. What should she do?" Ali-Rose explained for the second time, making it a bit clearer.
"What's this friend's name?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Her name is… Tia! Yeah, Tia. She doesn't go here, though." She told him, saying the first name that popped into her mind. Well, the first name of someone she didn't know that popped into her head, but still.
"Well, tell Tia, that she should make sure that she loves the other guys first, and is she does, than to let her boyfriend down gently, and don't tell him that she loves his best friend. And if he still wants to be friends with her, than great. And if he doesn't, than to respect him, and give him some time. See if he wants to be friends after a bit, when he's ready. And don't rush him into anything; he probably just needs to figure out his feelings." Mr. Baker to her, Ali-Rose nodded, taking everything in, so she could tell 'Tia' his advice.
"And what if she's started to see the other guy behind her boyfriend's back? Well, not really seeing him, but she kissed him." She asked, a bit more hesitant than she has ever been.
"Well, the best thing to do is to be honest, tell her to tell her boyfriend that she had cheated on him. Her boyfriend will probably be mad, but she has to be honest with him. And he might break up with her, but if he doesn't that she'll have to break up with him, since she's in love with the other guy."
"But, what if she doesn't want to break up with her boyfriend?"
"Then she can't be with the other guy. Look, I'd really like to help your friend more, but I have a meeting to attend in a few minutes." Mr. Baker said, frowning a bit at Ali-Rose.
"Alright," she sighed, "thanks for your help. I'll make sure to tell Tia."
And with that, she got up and walked out the door, only to run straight into her someone.
"Sorry!" They both exclaimed; Ali-Rose's things scattered all over the empty hallway.
Ali-Rose looked up, directly into the striking green eyes that had her mesmerized since day one.
"Landon, what are you doing here?" Ali-Rose asked, as they both leaned down to pick up her things.
"I was at soccer practice, what are you doing here? It's nearly five." He told her, handing her some books, looking directly into her large, chocolate brown eyes.
"Thanks," She said, accepting the books before continuing, "I was talking to Mr. Baker about stuff."
"Oh." Was all that came out of his, Landon Richardson's, mouth.
"Where's Gideon, I need to talk to him." She said, shifting her books from one arm to the other, not wanting to look Landon in the eyes.
"He's helping Coach Veda clean up." Landon told her, and she nodded, and ran to her locker before walking into the locker room to find her boyfriend, Gideon Fares.
"Why are you here?" A deep, booming voice asked, making Ali-Rose jump practically a foot in the air. She turned around to see the tall, old man, also known at Coach Veda.
"I was looking for Gideon, I was told he was in here." She said in her small voice.
"You have ten minutes, then I want you out. You aren't supposed to be in the boy's locker room. Or at school during this time unless you're in a club or on a sports team. But you're doing neither of them, so go before I change my mind and kick you out right now." He told her, before exiting the room, although she could still hear his loud voice bouncing off the walls, echoing through the large locker room.
Ali-Rose shook off the scared feel he gave her and began to look for Gideon, calling his name out.
"In here!" she heard him call out. She followed the sound of his voice, and found him in the showers, on his hands and knees, scrubbing the floor.
"What are you doing?" She asked, raising an eye brow, and holding back a smirk.
"I got in trouble during soccer practice, so I have to clean the showers, from head to toe. What's up, come to help me?" He asked, getting off of the floor and walking over to her.
"Sorry, no. I'm not exactly wearing the proper attire for shower cleaning." She said, motioning to her cream sundress that fit her body perfectly, and her brown leather sandals.
"True." He shrugged.
"And what? I have to have an excuse for visiting my boyfriend? Gosh, what has this world come to?" She said, crossing her arms in a joking manner.
"No, I was just curious." He said, placing one of his hands on her hip, and the other on the back of her neck, and gave her a soft, loving kiss on her lips.
She smiled against his lips, and once the kiss ended, she rested her head in the crook of his neck, making him remove his hands from her, and wrapping his arms around her, in a safe hug.
"I'm tired." She mumbled, her eyes closed, and her warm breath tickling his throat. He smiled, and leaned his head on top of hers, lightly sighing in content.
"Well, I'm almost done scrubbing the showers, how about after that, I'll drive you home since the late bus has probably already left." He told her, stroking her soft, brown hair that ended right above her hips, gently.
"Alright, but I'll wait in the hall," She said, taking her head off of him, "Coach Veda said I had ten minutes before I have to be out of the locker room, and I don't know about you, but I'm terrified of him." She said, her last sentence in a whisper, just in case he was within ear-shot.
"Alright, I'll be out in about fifteen minutes." Gideon told her, kissing her forehead, before she turned around and walked out of the locker room, Coach Veda glaring at her as she swiftly walked out of the room.
Once she was out of the locker room, she practically skipped to her locker, so she could organize her books and things before Gideon was done.

I will probably change the title and/or summary later. Sorry there wasn't any Landon in it, he'll appear much more in the next chapter.
