Salvator mundi I [after Thomas Tallis]
The world is a speckled eggshell;
in the name of the savior I will
puncture a tiny hole at the tip
and suck out the juice, the life's
blood, I will chew the bones
between my teeth, the uncooked
meat will melt on my tongue,

I will take a lover Salvator mundi,
I will lay myself down and let him
stretch himself out on top of me,
he will push his face down to mine,
pull my mouth up from obscurity,

his words will become my words,
his tongue will speak my verse aloud.
