This is a one-shot based on my friend, and her cousin my girlfriend, and me visiting them.

Expectedly Unexpected

As Steven sat on train, he looked out the window as he waited for his trip to end. He wanted very much for this trip to end, he wanted to find his new home, his girlfriend, and his friend, and her cousin in this new place as well. He had managed to find where they lived easy enough, but the hard part was making it there alive. He had told the waiters many upon many times he wanted none to eat, but they persisted as he had been riding the train for 16 hours. Once they brought him the grilled cheese samwitch, he ate it slowly, and finished it 2 hours after receiving it, and gulping down 6 cream sodas.

"Attention passengers, we'll be arriving at Columbus Ohio train station in 5 minutes, please gather your belongings, and remain seated." the intercoms voice monotonously informed.

Steven sighed as he grabbed his bags, and prepared to exit the train. He grabbed his computer, and his clothing luggage, and sat there as he waited for the trip to end. Once the train pulled into the station, he exited it, and walked to the nearest Taxi that was waiting. As he got in, he thought about where he was going, and what it would mean. As the cab approached its destination, he sat up, and prepared to start his new life in a new town, in a new state.

As the cab pulled to a stop, Steven grabbed his luggage, and he opened the car door, and got out. He walked through the gate, passing up the "NO TRESPASSING" sign, and up to the front door, he opened the screen door, and waited, knowing it was wired into the doorbell. Soon, after about 2 minutes, the door handle turned, and in the next millisecond, he was pinned to the wall inside the house, a knife not an inch from his face.

"Who are you?" Taylor asked, he a practiced glare.

He simply eyed the blade expectantly.

"I said; Who are you?" Taylor said, shoving him slightly harder into the wall.

Steven rolled his eyes, and asked "You can't be serious? You don't recognize me?"

Taylor stared at him for 5 whole minutes, the knife never moving an inch away from his face before realization ran across her face.

"Steven... What the hell are you doing here?" she asked, backing off, putting the blade down.

"Yeah, long story that one... Long story short, things went bad down in Georgia, so I'm here as you are the closest people I know, and Kiara is my girlfriend." he said, making gesturing down the hall at the last part.

She stared at him for a minute, before sighing, and saying "Whatever... Oh, and sorry for holding the knife to your head..."

He shrugged, and said "I expected it."

Taylor stared at him for a few moments before asking "What are you doing here, at my house anyway?"

"Oh, I was wondering if you could let me stay here." he said, looking around the house.

"For how long exactly?" she asked, raising an eye brow.

"Oh you know, rest of my life." he said as if it were an average everyday thing you say.

She stared at him for a good 3 minutes.

"You're joking right?" she asked him, keeping a straight face.

"No." he said, showing his luggage as proof.

She stared at him for another 3 minutes, before saying "You can explain that to my parents when they get home."

She then walked away, going back into her room, knocking on the bathroom door to let Kiara know it was safe. All the while Steven stood there, as if he were waiting on something.

Taylor walked back, and said "Oh, yeah... Come on in."

She then walked back into her room, leaving Steven to grab up his luggage, and walk down there, and knock on the door. She opened the door, and stared at him.

"What?" she asked.

"Um, where do I put my stuff?" he asked her.

"Anywhere." she said, as she started to close the door.

"Where do I sleep?" he asked before she did.

She point to the door next doors to hers. She then closed the door before he could ask another question. But right as she was about to re-seat herself on her bed, the door bell rang once more.

"Ugh..." she moaned as she got to her feet, and walked to the door.
