Epilogue

Two years later…

Running a hand through my curls I glanced down at the white outfit I had been forced into wearing. Why do I have to wear white? Alois is the one who looks good in white. "Can't you at least smile?"

Glancing over at the open door, and Alois who stood there, leaning against the door frame, I changed the subject, "you aren't supposed to be in here."

"So you want me to leave?"

My face grew slightly warmer, and I stared down at my lap, "I never said that…"

Alois took several steps into the room, playfully asking, "What's that? I was distracted by your lack of happiness."

"Glancing over I tried to put on a fake smile, but I had been out of practice, so it just looked like I was wincing. "I think you need some help."

Carefully standing, I glanced at him in the mirror and stubbornly replied that I didn't. Not listening to me, he crept up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist. A small smiled crept onto my face as Alois leaned his head on mine, "that's better."

Closing my eyes, I decided I could tolerate the color if it was for him and I could always sneak off and change when he wasn't paying attention. "You sure you want to do this?"

Alois straightened up slightly, as I opened my eyes. "Of course," I craned my neck to get a better look at his face before continuing. "I don't really know when Raven is coming back, and I just don't feel like waiting anymore." With my luck something bad is right around the corner anyway. Why wait for something good to happen? Paranoid as I was, no matter how many times Alois reassured me that everything was going to be fine, I just felt like it wasn't. "Do you."

Alois me my steady gaze with a small, warm smile, "of course; it's you I'm worried about."

"Why is that?"

"You seem worried."

Alois studied me with his bright blue eyes as I replied, "I'm not."

"Yes you are, I can tell."

"It's nothing."

Staring down at his arms, I intertwined my fingers with his, "I promise everything is going to be fine."

I didn't bother to look up as I softly replied, "You don't know that."

"Yes I do, I'm your good luck charm. Since you think you're bad luck. Together we are averagely lucky."

Not that I really understood what he was trying to say, I found myself laughing. If there was one thing Alois was good at, it was cheering me up. Alois reached over onto the desk and picked up a ribbon. As much as I wanted to, I did object as he tied back my hair. He leaned in really close, and his breath tickled my neck as he whispered, "There, now I can see your beautiful face."

My face reddened further, as his lips lightly brushed against my neck. We stood there for several moments, happy in each other's company, until the silence was broken. "Oi, you two need to get a room!"

Stepping out of Alois' embrace, I turned to see Boris and Marina standing in the doorway. I can't believe they actually came! Alois turned to face them, simply replying, "Technically we are in a room…Quillish's room to be exact."

"Yes, but you left the door open." Not giving Alois a chance to say something in response, I crossed the room and hugged the both, "I'm so happy you guys could make it!"

Marina giggle happily as I stepped back replying, "We got the week off."

"Really?"

Marina nodded, explaining, "You Sister and Lima are out of town and we were left with the very important job of watching the house."

Boris also added, "Plus Liam was there when we opened your letter and wanted to make sure there was no reason for us not to come."

"He also wanted us to give you this," Marina handed me A box wrapped in gold paper, with an envelope attached to it. Putting it on the dresser nearby, I told them I'd open it later.

The clock downstairs struck nine, secretly summoning everyone outside. Marina latched onto Boris' wrist, and told me we could talk later, before dragging him off. Watching them go, I found myself hesitant and nervous when it came time to take that first step out into the hall.

Crossing the room behind me, Alois came to stand in front of me. Without a word, he gently grabbed bother of my hands and led me out into the hall, reassuring me that nothing was going to happen,

Refusing to allow myself, to spiral into a blind panic, I let Alois lead me, and focused on him. Together, we journeyed down the front stairs, out to the side of the house, and down the makeshift aisle. Standing there, reciting out vows, everything faded away, it was just me and him standing there, confessing our love in the most ultimate way.

Glancing over at Lily as she wed us, I found myself overwhelmed with so many emotions that I couldn't even put a name to. "…with the power given to me by the two of you, I pronounce you, spouses. You may now kiss."

Warm tears rolled down the sides of my face, as Alois pulled me closer to him, and pressed his lips against mine. Wrapping my arms around his neck, I leaned my head on his chest, while everyone else clapped and cheered. "You're crying."

"No I not."

"Yes you are."

"You just make me too happy."

He draped his arms around my waist, "Is that a bad thing?"

"No." I deserve this. Even if It didn't last forever, it felt good, even if I felt like I was going to burst. Looking back now, my mother tossing me out was probably the best thing that ever happened to me. If she hadn't, I probably would have never met Alois, or Raven, or Lily. I would have never known what a real family felt like. Alois was right, when he said things would get better.

(A/N: *wipes away tear* that's it. Quillish I'm gonna miss you! I'm sorry, but I couldn't resist giving Quillish a happy ending *giant anime eyes* if you think otherwise, please go sit in the corner with Arthur, that is where you belong.

Quillish: So this means I can go back to being a minor character in Raven's story now?

Me: I guess so, but now I'm going to have to make you and Alois go on adventure during one of her stories, you need more screen time.

Quillish: No I don't. I got all the screen time I needed in the past…25ish chapters. Let me go back to hiding in my bubble and listening to Blood on the Dance Floor and drawing pretty pictures with my tablet. Go talk about Raven.

Me: Fine. Raven's story should be up here…in the near future titled "The Raven". I feel pretty good about getting this done before Christmas, so I bid you all a happy holidays and a happy new year! (Especially since we all survived that horrible apocalypse xD)
