A hundred years the French they fought,

English and Welshman side by side

Yew and Willow Bowstring's taut

For Henry Five they lived and died.

A sea of mud the battlefield

Galloped forth the French knighthood

Sun glittering on sword and shield.

Against the wave the Welshmen stood

The sky turned black Their arrows sang

The horses floundered, with terrified howl

Unhorsed the frenchie's amour rang

as perished their leaders in the slough.

So sing now praises to the Welshman

Lived and fought in days of yore

Proud be of the ancestors of our land

Who destroyed the Lillied Flower at Agincourt
